The QRM Conference 2021

The annual QRM Conference will take place June 14-15 2021. The conference aims are network building, research dissimination and methodological training.

The QRM conference is open to doctoral students and educational researchers, university teachers and test developers with an interest in quantitative approaches to educational research questions. Priority will be given to doctoral students and members of the QRM network, should the conference be fully booked.

Conference programme

The conference runs over two days.

Monday, June 14

  • Poster session for doctoral students and other QRM network members – 90 second ”pitch” by each presenter, followed by the possibility to discuss with the presenters
  • Invited Lecture by Professor Anna Dreber Almenberg titled:
    Which scientific results can we trust? Evidence from replications and prediction markets

Tuesday, June 15

The second day of the conference there will be two workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The first workshop focuses on how to analyse data from Swedish School Grades and National Tests where there often are methodological problems based on distributions and the scales being used. The topic of the second workshop is Latent Variable Modeling with Lavaan.

The QRM poster session has been highly valued for giving the opportunity to present and discuss research with doctoral students and more senior scholars. More information about how to submit will be posted soon. Deadline is April 30.

The venue/format

The conference was planned to take place at ”Pedagogen”, Göteborg University, in the very center of Gothenburg. However, due to the current situation with the Covid-pandemic, the 2021 QRM conference will be held online. For presentations and workshops, we will use Zoom. Links to the sessions will be sent to all registered participants prior to the conference.
